All Calgary Curling Club organized leagues Monday through Saturday will operate on either 2 or 4 squares of 9 teams resulting in one bye out of the 9 game schedule.  Points awarded for each square will be:
  Section     Wins  Ties  Losses
  A Square    14     10       6
  B Square    12       8       4
  C Square    10      6       2
  D Square     9       5       1

IF SCORE CARDS ARE NOT COMPLETED AND TURNED IN, BOTH TEAMS WILL BE AWARDED A SCORE OF ZERO.

Round robin square winners for each "go round" will receive a cash prize of $60. Teams in the Monday through Friday Calgary Curling Club organized leagues will be scheduled for 16 round robin and a minimum of 3 playoff games.

Close attention to schedules is required by the teams, in particular,  at the conclusion of a go round and the start of either the next go round or playoff consolation draws. Bye requests will be considered on a first come first serve basis - please call the office to indicate requests. Tie-breaking for square draw winners:
If two or more teams are tied for highest points after any square draw, winners will be determined by the following criteria:

1. The team with the best win/loss record for games played against the other tied teams will be awarded the top spot and the associated cash prize. (e.g. if 4 teams are tied for total points, but 2 teams have 2 wins and the other 2 teams have 1 win against the others, the latter two will be excluded and the win/loss test will be applied to the remaining 2 to determine a winner.)

2. If  this produces no clear winner, the cash prize will be split evenly among the teams. (e.g. if 3 teams are tied, and each have 1 win, 1 loss) Playoff System :
Each league (either men's, open or mixed) Monday through Friday will have 4 teams per square of 9 seeded in the Calgary Curling Club playoffs. (i.e. Monday Mens-8, Tuesday Open-16)  Total cumulative points for both squares is used to determine placement in playoff or consolation rounds. For ties in total points, ranking will be determined by applying the following tests, in order:
  1. Highest section - 2nd square
  2. Highest points - 2nd square
  3. Win/loss record - 2nd square
  4. Highest section - 1st square
  5. Win/loss record - 1st square
Last resort determination for unsettled ties (including ties after 1st square) for seeding purposes will be a witnessed random draw or coin flip
